1.2.3 FOCUS TUESDAY in Evanston IL with DR. NICK SCANIO- 7.7.20
Hello Everyone,
While we continue to march through the ups and downs of the last 4 months seeking our “normal” I have come away with a positive along the way. Not only was this time for many to reflect and make decisions moving forward in a different way but also has made us redefine and re-innovate how we do certain things. I know there are many things personally and professionally that have been forced to change in the last 4 months and some for the good. Looking at something in a different light and re-innovating it can be greatly beneficial and make big changes moving forward.
Yours in health at Wellness Revolution, our chiropractic clinic here in Evanston IL,
Dr. Nick

Why do seagulls fly over the sea?
If they flew over the bay, they would be called bagels.
Quotes
“When I was 5 years old my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I wrote down happy. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life”- John Lennon
To me this quote reminds me that it is ok to be different, it is ok to not be like everyone else. Do not worry about titles and how other will perceive you; find something you are passionate about and truly care about and you will be happy in life.
“Time can be an ally or an enemy. What it becomes depends entirely upon you, your goals, and your determination to use every available minute.”- Zig Ziglar
We live in a world that comes with its advantages and disadvantages depending on many factors, but the one constant in our lives is time. Time is something we all have in common; from Bill Gates to myself we all have 24 hours in a day and it depends entirely what we do with those 24 hours is what matters.
Mind, Body, Soul
Mind:
When you notice your mental health declining, do one small thing that brings you peace. Take a shower, text or call a loved one, step outside. One little step is all you need to remind yourself that this is not permanent.
Body:
After almost solely going for walks with my son Max over the last 3-4 months I am starting to get back into running again. It is easy to focus on how hard it is getting back into running “shape” but for me just using interval training has helped get back into running. For example I will run for 2 minutes then walk 2 minutes and repeat with the idea to slowly increase from there.
Soul:
My boys Ronan and Max love to dance, so lately we will play a few of our favorite songs to dance to and just have a dance party in the living room. We may look goofy to the others walking down the street but seeing them laughing and moving around is good for my soul.
